A Cheesesteak inside a large Italian Bread loaf with onions peppers and provolone cheese
Preheat a pan to low heat. Slice the onions and put oil in the pan followed by the onions. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Slice the bell peppers and add them to the pan with the onions and cook until caramelized or until you are finished with everything else.
If you bought NY strips for the recipe, slice them into very thin slices and pat dry with a paper towel.
Preheat a large pan to medium-high heat. Add oil to the pan along with the steak shavings.
Stir it frequently and add salt and black pepper and mix. Add 2 to 3 slices of provolone cheese and mix until fully melted. Take the pan off the heat while preparing the bread.
Cut the bread in half and take out some of the half's bread to form a boat.
Add in the cooked steak and cheese, and top it with the onions and peppers.
Add the provolone cheese to the top of it and place it on a wired rack. Put it in the oven on broil for 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted with golden brown spots. (Every oven is different so pay attention to it!)
Cut into portions and serve hot and enjoy.
