Slice an onion and the bell peppers. Preheat a pan to medium heat. Add oil to the pan and the onions. Add a pinch of salt to the onions and stir occasionally. Lower the heat to low after a few minutes. Once softened, add the bell peppers, cook for 20 minutes and stir occasionally.
Slice the strip steaks into cubes and season with salt and pepper. Preheat a pan to medium-high heat. Add oil to the pan and place the steak in the heated pan.
Cook for 3-4 minutes and add the garlic and butter with about 1 minute left so the garlic does not burn. Be sure to mix everything together to coat the steak in the garlic and butter. Set aside.
Slice the Italian Loaf to form a boat. Take out some of the bread to fit ingredients. Add the peppers and onions to the bottom, then the steak bites.
Finally, add the cheese on top and place on a baking sheet. Place it in the oven on broil and broil for 3 minutes or until melted. Be careful as every broiler is different and it is very quick, so keep an eye on it.
Slice into 4 and garnish with parsley.
