Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

What you need

22 shrimp

1 tbsp spice rub

1 tbsp cajun seasoning
1 tbsp oil

4 oz mostaccioli pasta

1 salt

1 tbsp butter

1 shallot

2 clove granulated garlic

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp parsley
1 cup fresh parmesan cheese

½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
1 Pat the shrimp dry and season with oil cajun seasoning, and salt pepper garlic rub. fill a pot with water to boil. 2 Preheat a pan to medium-high heat. While it is preheating, add the pasta to the boiling water with salt and follow package instructions to cook until al dente. 3 Add oil to the preheated pan and follow it up with the shrimp. Cook for 90 seconds then flip and take off the heat and cook for another 60-90 seconds and remove. 4 In the same pan, or new pan, add butter to it on medium heat. Add diced shallot and cook for 2 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, and black pepper and stir. 5 Cook for 2 minutes then lower the heat to low and add a scoop of pasta water and stir. 6 Once the sauce starts to thicken, add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and mix well. Cut the heat to make sure the cheese doesn’t get clumpy. 7 Add more pasta water if needed. Save some of the finished sauce and add the al dente pasta. Stir and toss to coat in the sauce and get ready to plate it up. 8 Garnish with some extra sauce on top of the shrimp and pasta. Add parsley and freshly grated Parmesan on top and enjoy.View original recipe
