What you need

¼ cup corn starch

½ cup all purpose flour
1 egg

⅓ cup water
1 tbsp oil

2 cup frying oil

1 tbsp red pepper flake

1 clove granulated garlic

¼ tsp fresh ginger

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ cup fresh orange juice

½ cup rice vinegar

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 scallion
Instructions
1 Grab a cutting board and cut the chicken into 1 inch cubes and set them aside. 2 In a mixing bowl, add the flour, corn starch, salt and black pepper. Next, add the egg, water, and oil to the bowl and whisk until it looks like pancake batter. 3 Add the chicken, mix it together and marinate until you lose patience. 4 Preheat a pan to medium heat. Add a generous amount of oil to the pan. 5 Add the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes a side or until lightly golden brown. Remove the chicken and place on a wired rack. Preheat a pan to medium heat. 6 Add the oil to the pan, followed by the minced garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds and stir frequently 7 Add the brown sugar and stir. Next, add the orange juice to dissolve the sugar and stir occasionally. 8 Add the vinegar and soy sauce and stir to combine everything. Next, add the corn starch and water together and whisk before adding to the pan. Add it to the pan when complete and whisk everything together. Continue to cook until a syrup texture forms. 9 Add in the chicken and completely cover the chicken with the sauce. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Enjoy.View original recipe
